FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What authentication method does the Passform API use?

The Passform API uses token-based authentication. Full authentication documentation, including token management, scopes, and error handling, is available at docs.passform.io. If you have specific security or enterprise authentication requirements, including SSO, talk to us.

Can I update and revoke passes programmatically?

Yes. Pass updates, revocations, and status changes are all available as API operations. Updates push to affected passes in real time with no action required from the pass holder. You can update individual passes or issue bulk updates across a segment or your full pass inventory. Revoked passes are immediately invalidated and no longer scannable.

What analytics does Passform expose via API?

The API provides access to install and uninstall events, scan and redemption data, notification delivery and open rates, and geofence trigger events. All events are timestamped and tied to individual pass records, giving you individual-level behavioural data you can pull into your own analytics stack. Webhook support is available for real-time event delivery to your own systems.

How does payment work?

Passform supports the full Apple Wallet pass specification (.pkpass) and Google Wallet pass objects, including all major pass types: boarding passes, event tickets, store cards, coupons, and generic passes. Barcode, QR code, and NFC are all supported for scanning and redemption. If you have a specific pass format requirement, check the API docs or talk to us.

What uptime and SLA commitments does Passform offer?

Platform and Enterprise plans include SLA commitments covering uptime and API response time. Specific SLA terms are provided as part of your commercial agreement. For enterprise customers with critical infrastructure requirements, custom SLA arrangements are available. Talk to us about your requirements before signing.
